This place is AMAZING. Some of the most beautiful dressers, tables, couches, etc. that I've seen. Prices range but are definitely affordable in most areas. Some of the items that are expensive (outside of my personal budget) seemed appropriately priced still. I went in for a couch and fell in love at first sight. I slept on the thought and immediately went back the next morning as soon as they opened and brought my new (to me) couch home. Terri assisted me and she was such a lovely woman, I enjoyed our talk and all her help. The men that loaded the couch into the truck were careful and they were funny! Help those guys out by renting an appropriate pickup/box truck to move big furniture (not your car that you want to tie a couch to the roof of). I will be going back for sure for other apartment items. They also have a wide selection of glassware that is unique.
This location is large compared to others I've been to, very organized based on furniture type, and I found an amazing chair for an insane cost! Terri spoke with me on the floor and reassured me they clean the furniture indepth and they have tags on them to verify so. The gentlemen at the loading docks were so kind and helpful, I LOVE this place.
I hate to say it, I like this Habitat, the people are nice and all, but what's bothering me, is that there hasn't been any new ceiling fans for sale ever since I've been coming here. I've been going to this Habitat for 6 years, and it was never like this. I kind of miss of when it used to have fans on the table. I hate writing this review, but this has been bothering me for the last 3 months. So I needed to write this. Thank you!
Update: I now give 1 star, this Habitat is awful. I was playing a piano they sold, and this old African American guy, told me to get off, I wanna know his name, because he gave me an attitude and he told me to leave. So tell me his name please. He’s an old black guy with a grey beard, and wears dirty clothing.
Cool stuff at very affordable prices. I've lived right by this place for years and have never been before today -I'll definitely become a regular!
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit that focuses on building affordable housing for lower income families that may not otherwise be able to own a home of their own. They do this with the help of many volunteers that collect, organize, and sell a wide cross section of household items from furniture, lighting, and paint, to dishware, tools, and soap, plus everything in between, at their retail stores branded ReStore. The proceeds are used to buy the materials to build homes, also heavily reliant upon volunteer work, and eventually provide that home to a family that can afford the nominal zero-interest mortgage. The home recipient is also required to volunteer at least 200 or more hours as well.
It's win/win for everyone and by helping out, your not contributing to any political or religious organization. What's not to like?
I enjoy the environmental piece of going green and using and reusing materials that's sustainable and discounted while engaging in social therapy...wow what a thrill
